London Rivers Week 2025 – FREE MoRPh Citizen Science training

June 7 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Please book your FREE place here!

This ColneCAN/RiPL* partnership event will provide citizen science training in the Modular River Survey physical habitat assessment method (MoRPh CSci), co-delivered by Groundwork (ColneCAN host) and Cartographer.

As part of London Rivers Week, this FREE training in MoRPh Citizen Science,  is for London-wide volunteers and river enthusiasts who are interested in gathering data and evidence about physical habitat changes in their local rivers. In 2025 our focus will be the River Pinn in Hillingdon.

The MoRPh Citizen Science method records observed physical features and helps surveyors learn about how the shape and dynamic structure of rivers support habitats for aquatic wildlife, and how a MoRPh health check can help build understanding of healthy river processes and functions.

For more information about MoRPh Rivers and Citizen Science training see: https://modularriversurvey.org/morph-rivers/

Please be prepared with comfortable and weather appropriate clothing and shoes, healthy snacks and plenty of water. A cafe is available on site or please feel welcome to bring a packed lunch. Toilet and snack breaks will be incorporated into the day.

Numbers are limited and booking is essential!
