The River Cray at Crayford: Waterside Gardens

Come and join us on the River Cray in the centre of Crayford Town!
We will be working in and around Waterside Gardens, Crayford (also known as Cray Gardens) which is in Crayford town centre to remove litter and reduce over hanging vegetation.
There will be varied tasks such as entering the river wearing waders to cut branches and remove litter and working bank side to remove cut branches to area that should help reduce fly tipping, collecting litter from the rivers edge and helping to take it to the collection point.
Tasks will suit those of mixed levels of ability but as a minimum, you will need to be able to walk on uneven ground. Strong shoes/ boots are required for working bank side. For those entering the water, waders will be provided.
We will provide all tools, gloves, equipment and waders.
Where to meet:
We will meet at 9:45am, near the gardens where we will be kitted out and then walk over to the river. The exact meeting place is to be confirmed, but it will be close to the gardens.
