Community Action for The Cut

Come join us in Bracknell for a river improvement journey! We’re calling on our Bracknell community to join a series of hands-on events at The Cut. Let’s work together to make a real impact on the local biodiversity by setting up large wood deflectors, creating brash berms, and removing a rock weir.
🌿 What’s the Mission? 🌿
At Thames21, we are committed to enhancing the health of our local rivers and the ecosystems they support with local people. Community Action for The Cut presents a unique opportunity to improve the habitat and biodiversity in this area. Throughout these events, we will:
Install Large Wood Deflectors: Enhance riverbank stability and create ideal habitats for aquatic wildlife such as fish.
Create Brash Berms: Foster a diverse environment for various species and promote healthier river dynamics.
Remove a Rock Weir: Restore natural water flow, benefiting both the ecosystem and the river’s health.
