Thames21 Tasters in Ealing, Barnet and Brent
Eight ‘taster sessions’ have taken place over the last three weeks, which have encouraged new volunteers to get involved with Thames21 and discover waterways close to them.
The events, which have taken place across the London boroughs of Ealing, Barnet and Brent, have comprised guided walks, family fun and good old fashioned clean-ups to spark the interest of local residents who haven’t been involved previously. The events successfully attracted diverse local audiences who showed real interest in volunteering in the future, and revealed the often complicated relationship that people have with rivers and streams in urban areas.
