London Rivers Week 2024: Bat Walk at Syon

Come for a wander in Syon Park, the only part of unembanked riverside on the Tidal Thames, in the dark and find out about our mysterious bat friends and listen out for fly-by squeaks, using bat detectors.
Gather at the Visitor Centre at dusk and our friends from the Thames Landscape Strategy will give a short talk about what type of bat activity to expect in the historic landscape and then on with the walk for approximately 90 minutes. You’ll be walking around the parkland and gardens in the dark, so please wear suitable footwear, dress warmly and please bring a torch.
Please be aware that bats don’t like the rain, so the walk won’t go ahead if it’s raining. Not suitable for those with mobility issues due to uneven ground.
