Edgwarebury Park
The high level concept for this park concerning the potential to install leaky dams and naturalise the channel has been found to provide limited flood alleviation benefit and as such this site will not be taken forward as part of the project.
Where is Edgwarebury Park?
Edgwarebury Park is in the London Borough of Barnet just north of Edgware. Click here for link to Google Maps.
What phase is Edgwarebury Park in the Co-Design process?
Initial Scoping: Following the initial high level concept appraisal for Edgewarebury, the options for any significant channel works were found to be limited and would not pose a meaningful improvement on flood risk given the upstream EA flood defence structures.
Thames21 is exploring options to work with local community volunteers to make some smaller-scale improvements to the river environment.
We would like to engage with any local residents or people who use the park regularly. Please contact us to get involved in the project, on Silkstream@thames21.org.uk.
